How much does a custom marketplace cost?

Costs vary based on project scope. Starter projects for small marketplaces begin around $10k–$15k (INR 5–7 Lakhs). Professional deployments with advanced features range from $18k–$30k (INR 8–12 Lakhs). Full-scale enterprise platforms with custom modules and integrations range from $50k–$100k+ (INR 20–35 Lakhs). Can I start with Starter and upgrade later?

Yes. The platform is built with a modular architecture, so you can start with core features and add advanced capabilities as your business grows. Upgrading from Starter to Professional or Enterprise does not require rebuilding the platform.

Who owns the marketplace platform and its source code?

The customer retains full ownership of all business data entered into or generated through their marketplace, including users, listings, enquiries, content and other customer-specific records. The CubiqWeb Marketplace platform—including its source code, system architecture, database design, reusable modules, frameworks and underlying intellectual property—remains the exclusive property of CubiqWeb. The customer receives the right to use the platform according to the agreed package, subscription, licence or service agreement.

Are hosting and domain charges included?

Hosting is included in your selected CubiqWeb package for the agreed service period. If you already own a domain, we can configure it for your marketplace. If you need a new domain, we can purchase and configure it for you, and the domain registration cost will be added separately to your invoice. Any unusually high infrastructure requirements, third-party services, premium APIs, or additional storage and bandwidth will be discussed and approved before extra charges are applied.

How long does development take?

Standard marketplace deployments typically take 8–14 weeks. Enterprise projects with custom modules, integrations and advanced features may take 16–24 weeks. Timelines are confirmed during project scoping based on your specific requirements.

Do you offer payment plans or milestones?

Yes. Projects are typically divided into milestones with payments tied to deliverables. A common structure is an initial deposit, followed by payments at design approval, development completion, testing and final deployment. We discuss payment schedules during project scoping.

Is ongoing maintenance mandatory?

CubiqWeb manages hosting, server infrastructure, security updates and platform maintenance as part of our service. We offer ongoing maintenance plans covering security patches, PHP updates, performance optimization and feature enhancements. Maintenance plans are optional—you can manage the platform independently if preferred.

Can you customise the existing platform?

Yes. If you already have a marketplace built on Laravel or PHP, we can assess the existing codebase and recommend improvements, new features or re-engineering. We also work with clients migrating from other technology stacks.

Can existing data be imported?

Yes. If you already have business or marketplace data, we can evaluate and import it from supported structured formats such as CSV, JSON or XML. The data must be reasonably structured and valid. Data cleaning, transformation, mapping, media migration or unusually complex imports may require additional work and will be quoted separately.

What happens to our data if we discontinue the service?

Your business data remains yours. If you discontinue the CubiqWeb service, we can provide an export of the available customer-owned data in a commonly used format such as CSV, JSON or Excel, subject to the terms of your agreement and settlement of any outstanding payments. The export includes customer-owned records and content. It does not include CubiqWeb source code, database structure, system architecture, proprietary configurations or other platform intellectual property.
